Generally, Android security is considered strict. Every app requests permissions from the owner of the device on install. The owner can reject requested permissions and decline the app. But how many of us are looking at requested permissions when installing new apps ? And what if somebody (wife, husband, parent or boss) takes your phone and accepts those permissions for you … ?

Spying and malware apps are everywhere – everything from children’s games that for some reason need to read our SMS conversations to Malware wanting to hijack our contacts list, capture our calls or location.

Anti Spy Mobile brings users a friendly way of seeing what permissions your apps want, and keeps an eye out for applications that could be malicious. The app has a scanner function that looks at your currently installed apps searching for well-know spywares, and also analyses the permissions of each app to identify whether it looks suspicious with spy-able permissions.
The results are presented in a very friendly interface, showing the user how many spywares are found, how many suspicious apps are found, a list of all installed applications and the last scan date.

The good think is that Anti Spy Mobile will not only show you whether you have a spyware, but will also give you the install time and date, helping you to identify who has put the bug on your phone.
Further more, the app will propose you to uninstall detected spywares or suspicious apps, and also will offer you to put the app in a “Safe List” if it is a false positive, and skip it on the next scan.
Although, the last two features are introduced only in the PRO version, if you use the free version you’ll be able to scan and clean your device.

As spyware and permissions have been the talk of the Google Play Store before, an application like this is definitely something that every android user should check in order to protect his privacy and security.

Rember, it’s all about privacy and security !

Anti Spy Mobile Helps Users Check Permissions and Identify Problems

One of the bigger problems with apps on Google Play is how they often ask for many more permissions than necessary—everything from children’s games that for some reason need to read our SMS conversations to Malware wanting to hijack our contacts list, users have been on high alert looking out for rogue applications. This fear has even turned users away from otherwise awesome ideas like Microsoft’s on{X}.

Developed by XDA Forum Member pandata000, Anti Spy Mobile brings users a friendly way of seeing what permissions your apps want, and keeps an eye out for applications that could be malicious. Last June, we saw a similar application, but having more options is always good.

The app features a scan function that looks at your currently installed apps and makes sure that you’re currently spyware free. Not only is it equipped with a set list of known spyware applications, but it also analyses your applications and let the user know if there’s an application that looks suspicious. The feature list includes:

- detects well-known spy apps (Spy Mobile, GravityMobile Spy, Highster Mobile, EasySpy, etc).
– analyzes the permissions and intent events of all installed apps
– app score base on the analysis warns for suspicious apps
– super fast scanner

As spyware and permissions have been the talk of the Google Play Store before, an application like this is definitely something the app downloading aficionado should check out.
